CALL FOR THE NISVILLE VOLUNTEER TEAM (DEADLINE: JULY 10, 2019)

This year's Nisville Jazz Festival gives young people the opportunity to contribute to one of the largest Serbian and European cultural events, and at the same time use this summer to improve themselves in a productive and fun way.

300 young people will jointly take part in the volunteer program for 12 days, acquire unforgettable experiences and knowledge, and take with them the new acquaintances they have made at the festival as a souvenir of their engagement in the event.

Over 3, 000 volunteers have undertaken the volunteer program of the festival since 2010. During that period, the volunteer team gathered young people from over 120 different cities from the country and abroad. In 2012, the team received the City of Nis Award in the form of a golden coin with the image of Emperor Constantine for a special volunteer contribution to the promotion and development of culture. At the end of 2013, the volunteer program was proclaimed the best youth project that year by the Youth Council of Serbia.

The performers at the festival did not remain indifferent to the volunteers, either. A large number of domestic and international stars of the jazz scene praised them. A large number of the media, both domestic and foreign ones, covered the volunteer story of the festival. Our prominent jazz musician Misa Blam once said that volunteers were an integral part of the festival's business card. Nisville Jazz Festival volunteers have become a recognizable brand of activism and solidarity, as well as the leading support of the festival.

All interested male and female volunteers are invited to apply for volunteering and by their engagement contribute to the realization of the event, thereby becoming part of the great music event of the Nisville Jazz Festival.

The volunteer team will be divided into the following 10 sectors: the host of the audience, the host of musicians, bees and ladybirds, marketing, press, technical support, logistics, catering services, workshops and security. It is also possible to apply for the position of Assistant Team Leader.

Candidates must be at least 15 years of age and ready to be held accountable for their obligations and tasks.

Volunteering at Nisville means that you will be engaged in the activities of the festival from August 1 to 12, 2019, while work is organized in shifts and is done according to all the rules and codes of volunteer management, in accordance with the Law on Volunteering of the Republic of Serbia.
