CALL FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS: SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 22, 2021)

The National Convention on the European Union and the Petnica Research Station call on secondary schools in Serbia to apply for the participation in the educational program "Skills and Knowledge for Sustainable Development". 15 schools will be selected during the call for applications. The team of each selected school will have three members - two students and one teacher, who will participate in the implementation of the program activities.

The educational program "Skills and Knowledge for Sustainable Development" has three parts, which are the following:

• An educational seminar on the topic of sustainable development, which will take part at the Petnica Research Station at the end of March 2021, which is intended for students from the selected schools.

• A call for applications during which schools propose small projects on sustainable development and their local environment. The four best projects will be financed with the amount of 1,000 euros per project in dinar counter-value.

• Implementation of the aforementioned small projects in local communities and promotion of sustainable development topics. The deadline for the implementation of the selected small projects is May 31, 2021.

The teachers participating in the project will have continuous support as school team coordinators to successfully present in their local communities and schools the topics of sustainable development and connect them with local topics and school materials.

The schools interested in participating in the program may apply by means of an online form, which is available on https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScT5B2xlXZHVv1vz0GEBG4mzFG_xFEhnovPCIN61wqgwGkhYg/viewform . The application deadline is February 22, 2021.
