CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR SMALL LOCAL PROJECTS IN 2021 (DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2020)

16. September 2020.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belgrade published a call for applications for small local development cooperation projects (SLP) directly managed by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belgrade.

These projects are complementary to the projects implemented by the Czech Development Agency (CzDA), and are an important component of the Czech Foreign Development Cooperation.

Projects should focus on the sectors of healthcare, education, environmental protection and support for marginalized groups.

The funds provided for the projects range between 200,000 Czech crowns to a maximum limit of 500,000 Czech crowns. Grants are paid in dinars, based on the amount indicated in the form, which is in Czech crowns, and in the counter-equivalent of the Czech crown according to the exchange rate used by the Embassy on the day of payment.

Co-financing by the applicant or from other sources is welcome. Excessive costs are borne by the applicant. The total amount of personal and travel expenses must not exceed 25% of the total SLP budget. It is emphasized that small local projects must have a development aspect (they do not involve, for example, the overhead costs of users).

Applicants can be non-governmental organizations, institutions of public administration and self-government (municipal, provincial, republican), academic, cultural, social and healthcare institutions, etc. The applicant cannot be a central state administration body. Donations are not intended to encourage entrepreneurship.

The application form is to be completed in English and submitted to the Embassy for further consideration. Only the applications forms that have been adequately and completely filled in, as well as certified and signed by an authorized person, will be considered. Along with the application form, it is necessary to send a document on the authorization of the appointed representative of the project applicant. If the applicant is not a state institution, a copy of the document confirming that the applicant is a legal entity should be submitted as well.

The documentation should be sent in paper form to the Embassy’s address: Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 22, 11000 Belgrade, as well as in electronic form to the e-mail address: mlp.belgrade.2021@gmail.com.  .

The deadline for submitting proposals is September 30, 2020 at 12 o'clock noon.

For other information, please contact the Embassy via e-mail.
