CALL FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN ISSUED (DEADLINE: MAY 27, 2018)

The "Key Steps Towards Gender Equality in Serbia" project issued three public calls for project proposals in the sphere of ​ economic empowerment of women, which are meant for women's civil society organizations and networks, professional associations and agricultural cooperatives. The European Union will support with 300,000 euros at least 10 projects throughout Serbia. These projects will contribute to the implementation of the 2016 – 2018 National Action Plan for Gender Equality in three program areas: a) women on the labor market; b) women 's entrepreneurship; and c) economic empowerment of women in rural areas.

Eligible to apply are only women civil society organizations and networks, professional associations and agricultural cooperatives that have proven knowledge and experience in  working on gender equality and women's economic empowerment.

The value of the allocated grant shall amount to a minimum of 20,000 euros and a maximum of 30,000 euros. The duration of the proposed projects will be at least one year, and not longer than two years.

The info session on the call for project proposals in the field of ​​economic empowerment of women, during which women's civil society organizations and networks, professional associations and agricultural cooperatives will have the opportunity to ask questions and get clarifications on all the details of the three calls, will be organized in Nis, at the EU Info Point, Vozda Karadjordja 5, from 1 pm to 3 pm on May 15, 2018.
