CALL FOR BIRN'S SCHOLARSHIP FOR JOURNALISTIC EXCELLENCE IN 2020 (DEADLINE: MARCH 10, 2020)

The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) has launched a call for a scholarship for Journalistic Excellence for 2020. The deadline for applications is March 10, 2020.

If you have an idea for a great journalistic story and want to write it to the highest professional standards, with quality editorial and adequate financial support, then it is the right time for you to apply for the Journalism Excellence Scholarship.

Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence is intended for professional journalists who have an idea for a story on cross-border issues. This year’s theme is the rule of law.

Submit your applications with proposed themes by March 10, 2020.

Each year, 10 journalists are selected through a public scholarship call that includes: 3,000 euros mentoring editorial support, participation in international seminars and publication of articles in the most influential regional and international media.

At the end of the program, an international jury will select the top three journalistic articles and award prizes.
