CALL FOR AWARDING GRANTS TO YOUNG FARMERS (DEADLINE: 31 DECEMBER 2019)

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management issued a call for proposals to support incentives for programs related to income diversification and improvement of the quality of life in rural areas through support to young farmers in 2019.

Incentives include support for income diversification programs and improving the quality of life in rural areas through support to young farmers:

1. Incentives for a program to support investments for the development and improvement of primary crop production at young farmers' farms;

2. Incentives for the investment support program for the development and improvement of primary livestock production at young farmers' farms;

3. Incentives to the investment support program for the development and improvement of primary livestock production through the procurement of quality breeding heads at young farmers' farms.

The right to incentives is exercised by a natural person – a holder of a commercial family farm in active status in the Register of agricultural holdings if:

1. He/she was not recorded in the Register as a holder or a member of the family farm before January 1, 2018;

2. He/she is 18 years old on the day of applying;

3.He/she is 40 years of age at the most in the calendar year in which he/she applies;

4. He/she was not a beneficiary of incentives under the regulations governing incentives for income diversification and improvement of the quality of life in rural areas through support to young farmers.

Applications are to be submitted in the period from October 17 to December 31, 2019.
