BUILDING FOR DISPLACED PERSONS IN BUJANOVAC

15. October 2012.

Source: Jugpress / Bujanovac – Stojanca Arsic, Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, said that a building for the accommodation of displaced persons from Kosovo, who are still residing in Bujanovac in four collective centers, would soon be constructed in that municipality.

“We agreed on this matter with Nagip Arifi, the mayor of Bujanovac, who supported our proposal.   We will build 25 apartments, out of which 5 will be given to the Municipal Assembly for welfare cases, while the rest will be for the displaced who don’t wish to return to Kosovo or to take some of the programs offered to them.”

He added that the municipality had provided the location and the infrastructure for the building, and that the construction would be financed by foreign donors.

“There are four collective centers in Bujanovac. If it turns out that one residential building is too small for everyone, we, along with the donors, will probably find an opportunity to build a few more such buildings, "said Mr. Arsic, adding that those collective centers should be emptied as soon as possible.
