BRATISLAV GASIC, MINISTER OF DEFENSE, INTRODUCES SECONDARY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS

28. July 2015.

Belgrade – By a decision of the Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic, secondary professional training of non-commissioned officers of the Army of Serbia will be re-introduced in the upcoming 2015/2016 school year, after 20 years since the Secondary Professional Military School   stopped operating, said the Ministry of Defence.

The 46th class of 30 male and female students will be enrolled in a regular four-year course entitled “The Air Force and Air Defense”.  Upon completing the Secondary Professional Military School, they will become members of the Army of Serbia, in the capacity of professional non-commissioned officers with the rank of sergeant, it was said in the statement.

In recent years, the first corporal ranks were given to the best professional soldiers after multilevel professional training at the Centre for Training and Advancement of NCOs, it was said in the statement. However, it turned out that this method of training of non-commissioned officers couldn’t provide an adequate and continuous manning of technical and air force – technical services.

The competition for the admission and selection of candidates will be published on August 1, announced the Ministry of Defense.
