7. August 2008.

On Thursday, August 7, 2008, at the initiative of the Serbian Government's Coordination Body for Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the USAID's MEGA (Municipal Economic Growth Activity) Programme organized a working meeting during which representatives of those municipalities had an opportunity to show their presentations for investors to experts in local economic growth, as well as to their colleagues, who were representatives of Kragujevac and Loznica. The goal of the meeting was to improve the presentations of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja with the assistance of persons that had established some of the best practices in attracting foreign and domestic investors. Based on the cooments obtained, the municipalities should complete their presentations in three weeks' time, when another meeting is to be organized, so that the presentations could be finalized. This is one of the activities of the Serbian Government's Coordination Body that is aimed at increasing the capacity of the municipalities, which are in competition with other local self-governments in the region, for attracting investors.
