THE SOUTH NEEDS PARTNERSHIP

BELGRADE – The municipalities in southern Serbia need more partnership both within the Serbian and Albanian communities and between the two communities, since there are big divisions and a gap between the people, said Hans Ola Urstad, Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

- I’m speaking of the partnership within the Serbian and Albanian communities, as well as about togetherness between them. It seems to me that there are great divisions and a gap there – said Mr. Urstad and added that this was the reason why it was important for the Coordination Body for South Serbia to operate by using its capacities fully.

Mr. Urstad, who is finishing his term of office in Belgrade, pointed out that he had recently talked about South Serbia with the Serbian President Boris Tadic, who strongly supported the functioning of the Coordination Body. (FoNet)
