AS OF SEPTEMBER, IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO TAKE OUT LOANS OF UP TO 90,000 DINARS IN THE BANKS WHERE YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT

31. August 2020.

Belgrade - At the beginning of September, it will be possible to take bank loans of up to 90,000 dinars, even though you do not have an open account in the bank. The decision on approving the loan will depend exclusively on the bank.

According to the new regulations of the central bank, banks have been given the opportunity to approve loans of up to 90,000 dinars to persons who do not receive their earnings through the accounts in them. It will be possible to repay the loans within two years, which, with an interest rate of around ten percent, would mean a monthly installment of around 4,150 dinars for 24 months.

One of the most common questions regarding the loan is whether it can be taken by students, unemployed persons or citizens who work illegally. The answer is negative, because one of the key requirements for approving a loan in Serbia is the proof of your earnings, regardless of whether it is a salary or a pension.

Banks also grant loans to the citizens who are employed on a temporary basis, but they link the last installment to the expiration of their employment. Citizens who are granted a loan will have to sign a statement and give it under full criminal and material responsibility.

Each bank will decide individually what the interest rate will be. The current situation is that a cash bank loan can be taken at an average interest rate of about 10 to 12 percent, which in the case of a two-year loan of 90,000 dinars  would mean an average monthly installment of around 4,150 dinars.

Banks will check the credit history of the debtor, or whether there are delays in the repayment of other loans and credit card debts.
