APPLIYING FOR THE NATIONAL COMPETITION IN SIMULATION CALLED TITAN (DEADLINE: APRIL 10, 2020)

1. April 2020.

Titan is an interactive computer simulation in which critical economic and management decisions are made. Through a simulated competitive market situation, teams consisting of secondary school students are placed in the role of the enterprises that make specific business decisions, such as set their products’ prices, production levels, marketing, research and development budgets, and determine how much they will invest in capacity expansion. All decisions are entered in an online computer program that, based on the built-in parameters, formulates reports on the state of the market and the position of each of the rival teams - companies.

The aim of this simulation is to maximize profits, sales and market share within a strategic computer game, and to get students acquainted with the principle of functioning of a company.

The application deadline is Friday, April 10, 2020, by 5 p.m.

Teams consist of two students, while a maximum of 10 teams from one school can apply. One student may not compete in two or more teams.

The first round of the competition will begin on Monday, April 13, and teachers and students from the teams that have applied will receive all the details of the competition by e-mail after the expiry of the application deadline.
