ANOTHER AID PACKAGE IS COMING!

16. March 2021.

Belgrade- In addition to 60 euros, which all adult citizens who sign up for it will receive from the state, the unemployed in Serbia can also count on additional aid. For the time being, it is certain that people who lost their jobs during the corona virus pandemic will receive the aid, about 50,000 of them, but also that the list could be longer.

The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, announced that a model for helping the unemployed in the territory of Serbia would be known in a few days.

What is currently uncertain is whether all the people registered at the National Employment Office (NEO) would receive additional money.

According to the latest official data and the Labor Force Survey, 321,000 people are unemployed in Serbia. Many of them have been at the NEO for years, some even for decades, and their only reason for being there is healthcare insurance. They never sought or accepted the job offered to them at the NEO.

On the other hand, there are many people at the NEO who lost their jobs, and only during the corona year, about 50,000 people lost their jobs. There are even more citizens on the list of the National Employment Office for whom the office serves as a place that will bring them to the employer.

Around 50,000 people lost their jobs in Serbia during the corona virus pandemic, the unemployment rate is now almost 10 percent, while a total of 2.9 million people are employed.

All the unemployed, like other citizens, will receive 60 euros from the state. The signing up for this financial aid from the state starts on April 28.

The first 30 euros will arrive in the first week of May, and the remaining 30 euros in November. Whoever turns 18 between May and November - cannot sign up.

Retirees do not need to sign up.  They will receive 30 euros each in May and November, and an additional 50 euros in September.
