AMERICANS AT THE “JUG” MILITARY BASE

Bujanovac- On Wednesday, a modern Center for Simulation in Training, which the United States donated to the Serbian Army, will be opened at the „Jug“ military base near Bujanovac.  

The simulator, which is worth 2.1 million dollars, includes a shooting simulator, a 3D virtual fighting simulator, a medical simulator, a media center with computers and non-tactical vehicles.

The center will be put into operation by the Commander of the US Army for Europe, Lt. Gen. Frederick Ben Hodges, and by General Milosav Simovic, the Commander of the Serbian Army.

The ceremony at the “Jug” military base will be attended by the Chief of Staff of the Serbian Army, General Ljubisa Dikovic, Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy Gordon Duguid and other senior civilian, military and diplomatic representatives of Serbia and the US.

The commander of the US Army for Europe, Lt. Gen. Frederick Ben Hodges, is paying a two-day visit to the Serbian Army at the invitation of General Milosav Simovic.
