AID FOR POOR FAMILIES LIVING IN RURAL AREAS

Medvedja – The Eparchy of Nis provided and distributed suitable packages with food, clothing, toys and home cleaning products to poor families with many children.

Firstly visited was the Kovinic family from the village of Gazdare, which has seven children, to which, apart from hygiene products, food products and a cow were donated. The donors also visited the Stefanovic family from Crni Vrh, which has seven children, and the Velickovic family from the village of Retkocer, which has nine children, to which, in addition the appropriate packages, a cow was donated. The Todorovic family, which has six boys, also lives in Retkocer in very difficult conditions, so that any sort of aid is welcome. As part of the humane mission, the priests of the Eparchy of Nis visited the Stojkovic family from Sijarinska Spa, which has nine children. Apart from the appropriate packages, the benefactors donated them a washing machine, too.

The aid provision campaign will go on, while the Eparchy of Nis, as well as the local self-government, invited other benefactors to join it.
