ADRA: CALL FOR MALE AND FEMALE VOLUNTEERS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LEARNING SUPPORT PROGRAM ISSUED

28. October 2020.

The "Schools on Wheels" program, implemented by ADRA Serbia, is intended for the children from families living in difficult socio-economic conditions. The goal is to enable them to successfully complete the class and move on to the next level in education (class) through learning support, so that they could successfully complete primary school, and then secondary school as well.

Children from this group of population easily drop out of school due to numerous obstacles: poor knowledge of the Serbian language, difficult general material and economic living conditions, insufficient support in learning or in doing homework assignments, as well as other reasons. Up to 40% of them drop out of school between the ages of 10 and 11.

ADRA Serbia invites the citizens to join the learning support program (assistance with doing homework assignments) for children from the said population group.

By joining Adra's volunteer program, you will make it possible for a larger number of children to be included in it. The needs are great. Volunteers become part of Adra's team and Adra's efforts, which have so far achieved measurable and positive results. When we work together to enable these children to be educated and remain in the education system until the successful end, we provide to them the only likely chance to get out of the often multigenerational poverty and struggle for a more dignified life.

Further information on the program, the call for volunteers and on how to apply is available on the program’s website: uskoli.rs

You can ask any additional questions on the program by sending an e-mail to   office@adra.org.rs.
