A NEW RULEBOOK FOR EMPLOYERS AND EMPLOYEES HAS BECOME EFFECTIVE

Belgrade - The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans' and Social Affairs has adopted a Plan for the Implementation of the Measures for Preventing the Emergence and Spread of the Infectious Disease Epidemic for the purpose of protecting the safety and health at work of employees and other persons found on the work premises in accordance with the Rulebook on preventive measures for safe and healthy work on preventing the emergence and spread of the infectious disease epidemic, which entered into force on July 11, 2020.

Taking into account the possibility of spreading the contagious disease, when organizing the work process, it is necessary to plan the implementation of preventive measures and determine the responsibilities for controlling the implementation, which will ensure an improvement in the situation and a higher level of safety and health at work of employees and all other persons.

The emergence of new risks caused by the corona virus is one of the challenges to raise the health care of employees to the highest possible level. Also, it is necessary to enable the simplest possible use of preventive measures and regular informing of employees about their obligations, and at the same time regularly check the efficiency of the used measures and act in accordance with instructions and recommendations of the Ministry of Health, Institute of Public Health and epidemiologists.

By its responsible behavior, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Affairs attaches importance to the use of prevention measures, such as the obligatory wearing of protective masks, regular hand washing, keeping a physical distance of at least two meters and avoiding indoor gatherings of a larger number of people.

The Ministry will continue to be committed to providing the best working environment for employees and will go on providing support and information to all employers and employees with the aim of preventing the spread of the epidemic.
