Belgrade – With the aim of providing support to the establishment and survival of new enterprises, the Ministry of Economy issued a public call for the unemployed, beginners in business, as well as the businessmen who are in the initial stage of development of their business operations,  for giving grants  for the purchase of the equipment, upgrading, reconstruction, equipping, renovation or rehabilitation of the business or manufacturing premises, as well as for the procurement of permanent working capital (up to 20 per cent of the total investment).

This financial support is provided to entrepreneurs under the program of encouraging the development of entrepreneurship through financial support for beginners in business in 2017, which is a combination of 30 per cent of grants given by the government and 70 per cent of   favorable loans extended by the Development Fund. The Ministry of Economy earmarked 150 million dinars in grants for this purpose, while the Development Fund allocated 350 million dinars of loan funds.

The Ministry of Economy and the Development Fund implemented this program last year, too,  when they supported 220 entrepreneurs and beginners in business. The public call for this year will be open until the available funds are not spent.  Interested businessmen may find all the information and necessary documentation on the website of the Ministry of Economy.
