11 DOCTORS AND 10 NURSES GOT PERMANENT JOBS AT THE BUJANOVAC HEALTH CENTER

3. June 2020.

Bujanovac – Because of the emergency situation in the field of health care, and by the order of the Ministry of Health to hire medical workers due to the fight against the corona virus, 21 people got permanent jobs at the Bujanovac Health Center.

Among those employed on a permanent basis are 6 doctors from the Albanian and 5 from the Serbian community, while 10 nurses and technicians also got permanent jobs, said Dr. Lela Jovanovic, the Head of the Health Center in Bujanovac.

Due to the ban on employment in the public sector, the Bujanovac Health Center constantly lacked doctors, while the Municipality paid for their engagement from its budget for several years.

The problem with the lack of medical workers emerged when their salary supplement of 50% was abolished, so that many doctors from other cities, who worked at the Bujanovac Health Center, left. Prior to that, they had 50% higher salaries compared to other medical workers in Serbia.
