Bujanovac

The municipality of Bujanovac belongs to the Pčinj district and it extends over an area of 461km2.  It may be an area that is extremely interesting to invest in, since it is situated in the center of communication routes, right next to the road and  railway major routes on international Corridor E-10, which connects Belgrade, Skoplje, Salonika and Athens.  The good position of the municipality is enhanced by the vicinity of three international airports,  which are Niš (136 km), Skoplje (70 km) and Priština (105 km).  One of the advantages is the closeness of this municipality to the border crossing with Macedonia – Čukarka (23 km). According to the  2002 census, there are 43,302 people living in Bujanovac. The largest ethnic group consists of Albanians (54.7%), followed by Serbs (34.1%) and Roma (8.9%), while the percentage of other ethnic groups is marginal.
