Medvedja – As part of the project "Strengthening the Protection of National Minorities in Serbia", financed by the Joint Program of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Horizontal Facility" for the Western Balkans and Turkey, a round table was held at the Gejzir Hotel in Sijarinska Spa on the topic "Official Use of Languages and Scripts in Local Self-Governmental Units ".  

Medvedja – Vladica Djokic, a graduate lawyer, was elected as the new secretary of the Municipal Assembly of Medvedja, which, among other things, also brought the Statute of this legislative body into line with the Law on Local Self-Government, the deadline for which was the end of March of this year.

Presevo, Medvedja – With the participation of over 150 students of elementary and secondary schools from the territory of the Pcinj District, as well as the Presevo and Medvedja municipalities, an educational workshop was held in the hall of the Youth Cultural Center in Vranje, where the "Competition Days of Young Innovators and Entrepreneurs" started.

Bujanovac – Local self-government in Bujanovac, according to the president of the municipality, Saip Kamberi, enabled, last year, the employment of 78 people through the financing of start-up projects in entrepreneurship.

Belgrade – Distribution of budgetary funds to the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja was agreed upon at the meeting of the Presidency of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja....

Belgrade – With reference to the Albanian National Council’s awarding of letters of thanks to the organizers of an illegal referendum in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in 1992, Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, said that "serious people do not comment on irresponsible and unserious moves".

Medvedja – The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, visited the Jablanica district. On that occasion, President Vucic said that Medvedja and Sijarnska Spa would remain parts of Serbia and that the state would invest significant funds in that part of the country in order to fix up that natural pearl, which is not only the natural pearl of South Serbia.
