The call for the biggest competition in the sphere of photography, the Sony World Photography Awards, was issued, in which professional photographers, as well as amateur ones, from around the world may participate. 

Authors may send their photos for free in any of the four competition categories – professional photos, open photos, photos for young photographers (from 12 to 19 years old) and photos for students of photography.

Bujanovac – Every evening, the residents of Bujanovac, along with their visitors, could watch rock, jazz and folk music performances, as well as folk ensembles, on the stage placed in front of the Bujanovac community center, which was the organizer of the cultural summer event, which has just ended.

Jetmir Ismaili, Director of the Bujanovac community center, said that he was pleased with this year's cultural summer event.

“A great many citizens, performers of various musical genres and folk ensembles, which presented traditional motifs, participated in the event that I consider successful, "Mr. Ismaili said.

According to him, the audience was able to watch and listen to the music of various genres in the Serbian, Albanian and Roma languages.

Мedvedja - The municipality of Medvedja continued to subsidize farmers, so that this year it earmarked 10 million dinars for that purpose

Yesterday, Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, along with his associates, handed out the first agreements on the allocation of the 2016 stimulus funds at the Medvedja municipal assembly’s hall. 

Bujanovac - Arton Salihu was appointed the new Head of the Traffic Lights Office, while Bekim Beciri was made responsible for the parking payments made through SMS text messaging.

Based on the previously announced reorganization of that municipal enterprise, the two of them were appointed by Director Naim Redzepi. 

A new classification of jobs at the Directorate is to follow.

Belgrade – The Australian embassy in Belgrade is implementing the Direct Aid Program (DAP) that supports local small-value development projects, which have a direct positive impact on the community.

Belgrade – Ana Brnabic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, said that the Government of the Republic of Serbia had adopted the draft amendments to the Law on Financing Local Self-Governments, which provided for a reduction in the share of the municipalities and cities in the revenues collected from the income tax. 

Belgrade - Twenty-two young people from 14 municipalities in the southeast and southwest of Serbia will launch their businesses with the support of the European Union and the Government of Switzerland, which earmarked, through the European Progress development program, 183,307 euros for the activities aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship among young people. Young male and female entrepreneurs, who plan to be engaged in information technologies and design, manufacturing of clothing, processing and preservation of fruits and vegetables, will receive the equipment to start their business operations.

“CEEweb for Biodiversity", a network of non-governmental environmental organizations from Central and Eastern Europe, based in Budapest, launched a competition for short films in the field of ecology.

The application deadline is October 31.

Medvedja, Lebane, Vlasotince – This year, the Leskovac-based branch of the National Employment Office (NEO), in cooperation with three local self- governments in the area of Jablanica district, will carry out public works in Medvedja, Lebane and Vlasotince.

Medvedja – The organization of sport fishermen "Upper Jablanica" from the municipality of Medvedja, in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of Medvedja and the "Geyser" hospital for rehabilitation from Sijarinska Spa, is organizing the sixth Golden pot of the Geyser event on August 21.
