“TAKING ACTION TOGETHER WITH TAMARA” IN SOUTH SERBIA

Leskovac – The second series of the TV program "Taking Action together with Tamara," during which the homes of vulnerable families will be refurbished, which will be broadcast on the RTS channel in the autumn, will be shot in the following four southern Serbia’s districts: Jablanica, Pcinj, Toplica and Nis. On that occasion, a meeting with the authors of the aforementioned TV series was held, yesterday, at the office of the Mayor of Leskovac.

VACCINATION OF CATTLE AGAINST "LUMPY SKIN" DISEASE BEGINS

Nis – Milos Petrovic, the Director of the Specialist Veterinary Institute in Nis, confirmed that the vaccination of cattle against “nodular dermatitis”, or the “lumpy skin” disease, would start in the towns and villages of the Pcinj and Jablanica districts that day.

BEGINNING OF VACCINATION OF CATTLE AGAINST "LUMPY SKIN" DISEASE

Bujanovac, Medvedja – Cattle breeders in South Serbia suffered an extensive damage due to the disease known as the "lumpy skin" disease of cattle. Two weeks ago, Pcinj district was declared an endangered territory, and the municipalities of Bujanovac and Bosilegrad the infected areas. The said cattle disease was, thereupon, confirmed in the municipality of Medvedja, as well as in Targoviste, Surdulica and Vranje.

FOOTBALL CLUB "JABLANICA" FROM MEDVEDJA WON TOURNAMENT IN GERMANY

Medvedja - The “Life Stone Capital” Company, which runs the "Lece" mine near Medvedja, made it possible for the “Jablanica” football club from the municipality of Medvedja to travel to Germany for an international tournament, at which the said club won the first place and the championship trophy.

SIGNING UP OF CANDIDATES FOR STUDY PROGRAMS AT SUBOTICA FACULTY OF ECONOMICS’ DEPARMENT IN BUJANOVAC BEGINS

Bujanovac – The Coordination Body’s Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja informs interested parties that signing-up for the first year of the basic academic studies at the Subotica Faculty of Economics’ Department in Bujanovac in the 2016/2017 school year will begin on Thursday, June 23.

NO NEW CASES OF THE “LUMPY SKIN” DISEASE IN MEDVEDJA

Medvedja – Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, said that that there hadn’t been any new cases of the “lumpy skin” cattle disease in the territory of the municipality over the previous few days.

CALL ISSUED UNDER EIDHR PROGRAM

The EU Delegation to Serbia issued a call for project proposals under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), for which a total amount of 1,750,000 euros was provided. The approved projects will be awarded grants in the amount of 50,000 to 300,000 euros.

NO NEW CASES OF “LUMPY SKIN” DISEASE IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac - Miodrag Milkovic, the Director of the Veterinary Station in Bujanovac, said that the spraying of insects from the air in the area of the municipality of Bujanovac had been completed, as well as that no new cases of the “lumpy skin” disease of cattle emerged in the area over the previous weekend.

UNDP: CALL FOR SUBMITTING PROJECT PROPOSALS

As part of the project "Enhancement of Municipal Audit for Accountability and Efficiency in Public Finance Management”,  the United Nations Development Program issued a call for project proposals for civil society organizations in improving cooperation between local self-governments , the civil sector and the media.
