PROGRAM OF CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION BETWEEN SERBIA AND MACEDONIA ADOPTED

Belgrade - The European Commission (EC) adopted a new program of cross-border cooperation between Serbia and Macedonia, whose funding, in the amount of 3.5 million euros, was provided by the European Union’s pre-accession fund (IPA) in the 2016-2020 period. The program is co-financed by the participating countries.

UNDP SERBIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN HELP PRESEVO IMPROVE WATER SUPPLY AND UTILITY SERVICES

Presevo - Representatives of the Embassy of Japan and the UNDP Program in Serbia handed over to Sciprim Arifi, the Mayor of Presevo, the technical documentation that would make it possible for the residents of the municipality to have improved water supply and quality utility services.

TO BUJANOVAC SPA WITH MINISTRY’S VOUCHERS

Bujanovac – The special rehabilitation hospital in Bujanovac Spa will respond to the public call of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and will sign up for the implementation of the scheme of allocation of vouchers for encouraging the development of domestic tourism, said Stojanca Savov, MD, the Director of the spa resort.

MARKO CADEZ HOLDS A MEETING WITH BUSINESSMEN IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac – Marko Cadez, the Head of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, met in Bujanovac with representatives of the local self-governments and the companies from Bujanovac and Presevo and talked with them about the production and export plans, as well as about the Chamber of Commerce’s support to the economic development of South Serbia.

NEW SQUARE AND FOUNTAIN IN THE CENTER OF MEDVEDJA

Мedvedja – As part of the reconstruction of the center of Medvedja, the square in front of the Cultural Centre, which will have a magnificent fountain, is being fixed up. Mayor Nebojsa Arsic said that they were replacing the concrete slabs in the square, which were worn out, and the old fountain by a new one.

MUNICIPALITY OF BUJANOVAC TO PURCHASE GARBAGE DISPOSAL CONTAINERS AND A TRUCK SWEEPER

Bujanovac – “The local self-government in Bujanovac shall pay more attention to creating the conditions for urban planning and urban cleanliness,” said Saip Kamberi, the Mayor of Bujanovac.

"HEART FOR CHILDREN" ASSOCIATION ESTABLISHED IN MEDVEDJA

Medvedja – A meeting in connetion with the establishment of the „Heart for Children“ association was held im Medvedja. The association was established with the aim of improving the position of children and youth with disabilities in physical and intellectual development, as well as providing professional support to their parents and families.

5.4 MILLION EUROS FOR THE MUNICIPALITIES AFFECTED BY MIGRANT CRISIS

Presevo - Aleksandar Vulin, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, and the Mayors of 14 cities and municipalities affected by the migrant crisis, signed an agreement on cooperation in Presevo.

COMPETITION FOR THE BEST MEDIA REPORTS ON EUROPEAN INTEGRATION IMPACT ON CITIZENS’ LIVES IN THE SOUTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST OF SERBIA LAUNCHED

Belgrade - The European Progress development program, in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia and the European Integration Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, has launched a competition for the best media report by local and regional media outlets on the topic of European integration and its impact on the daily life of the population in the southeast and southwest of the country.

MUNICIPALITY FUNDS TRAINEE PRACTICE OF 64 PERSONS

Bujanovac - The multi-ethnic local self-government in Bujanovac will finance with 3.3 million dinars from the budget the professional training of 64 young people with higher education and  university degrees.
