Presevo - In a joint operation of the police and customs officers at the Presevo railway station, 16 citizens of Afghanistan were prevented from illegally entering the Republic of Serbia.

Presevo - On the night between Wednesday and Thursday, customs officers at Presevo railway station prevented the smuggling of 30 kilos of cut tobacco belonging to an unknown person.

ONE THOUSAND CARTONS OF CIGARETTES FOUND NEAR PRESEVO

Presevo – The police said that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vranje had found 1,000 cartons of cigarettes with excise stamps of the Republic of Macedonia. The cigarettes were found on February 17, in an abandoned tractor-trailer in the village of Norca, which is situated in the municipality of Presevo.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR MILITARY SCHOOLS ANNOUNCED

The call for applications for the admission of students and cadets to military schools was announced on February 16 and it will run until March 31, 2015.  90 students will be enrolled in the Military Secondary School, 99 cadets in the Military Academy, while there are vacancies for 25 cadets at the Faculty of Medicine of the Military Medical Academy.

960 KILOGRAMS OF TOBACCO SEIZED

Bujanovac - Members of the Serbian Ministry of Interior in Vranje discovered and seized 960 kilograms of cut tobacco at a family house located in the Albanian village of Lucane near Bujanovac.

ASSISTANCE PROVIDED TO BUSINESSMEN IN SOUTH SERBIA

Zeljko Sertic,  Minister of the Economy, said in Bujanovac that the government, through various programs, would continue providing assistnce  to the underdeveloped municipalities in southern Serbia, which included the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, too.

MINISTER STEFANOVIC: WE WON’T ALLOW THE GLORIFICATION OF TERRORISTS

Belgrade – The Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said that the calls for returning a monument to the so-called "Liberation Army of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja" weren’t well-intentioned and that they led to the destabilization of the situation in the southern part of Central Serbia.
