The Regional Chamber of Commerce Leskovac, in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), carried out a presentation of the Program of support to small and medium- sized enterprises in Serbia. The program is funded by the European Union and implemented by the EBRD Small Business Support, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia.

Srdjan Verbic, the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, spoke yesterday at the great hall of Leskovac town assembly with elementary school principals from Jablanica and Pcinj Districts about the preparation and implementation of the primary school leaving examination. According to the Opinion of Minister Verbic and the competent persons from the field of education, everything is ready for the final exam and it should pass in the best possible way.

Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja – Members of the Ombudsman’s professional team recently visited the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja where they received complaints from the citizens of the three municipalities about the illegal and irregular operation of the administrative bodies. On that occasion, they informed the citizens of the three municipalities that they could send their complaints to the Ombudsman by mail, too.

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises owned and run by women, as well as entrepreneurships founded by women, have the opportunity of receiving grants in the amount of 50, 000.00 to 300, 000.00 dinars.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 11, 2014.

The commission for the allocation of funds from the budget of the municipality of Bujanovac in 2014 announced a competition for the allocation of funds for the implementation of projects that are of interest to the local community.

At the invitation of the Municipal Assembly of Platamon, Greece, the cultural association “Medvedja” from the municipality of Medvedja took part in the First International Festival of General Culture in Platamon from May 30 to 31.

A one-day humanitarian tournament was held at the “Mladost” (Youth) sports center in Bujanovac, with the aim of collecting and paying funds in the account of flood victims in Serbia.

Presevo – June 1, the International Children’s Day, was marked in Presevo on Sunday with a number of ceremonies that were dedicated to children.  According to Presheva.com, children with disabilities were the main focus of the event. 

Due to the hardships that befell our country, the deadline for applications to participate in the training programs for business start-ups and grants in the field of youth and female entrepreneurship was extended to June 6, 2014, it was published on the website of the National Agency for Regional Development (NARD).

An exhibition entitled "The Museum of Violence", where medical records of victims of violence are displayed, was opened at the “Vuk Karadzic” cultural center in Bujanovac. The exhibition was held thanks to the support of the Office of Human and Minority Rights and the Fund for an Open Society.
