SWEDISH AMBASSADOR VISITS VRANJE

The Swedish Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Mr. Christer Asp, paid yesterday a visit to Vranje, where he participated in several activities of the „Peace-Building and Inclusive Local Development“(PBILD) Program, which is implemented from the office in Bujanovac by several UN agencies.

GENDER EQUALITY ON PAPER

Out of thirteen presidents of municipalities and mayors in South Serbia, there is only one woman, who is, at the same time, the only president of a branch political party. But this is only an exception to the rule, since there are no women holding important decision-making positions in South Serbia.

Two-Day Visit of Interns to Novi Sad

Ten male and female interns of the Republic of Serbia institutions’ Internship Program for Members of Ethnic Minorities were on a study visit to Novi Sad on February 28 and 29, 2012. On the first day of the visit, they talked with Dragana Bozanic, Maja Brankovic – Djunic and Anita Beretic from the Provincial Secretariat for Labor, Employment and Gender Equality.

STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS' DEPARTMENT IN BUJANOVAC VISTING THE PARENT FACULTY

The Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja organized for the students of the Faculty of Economics’ department in Bujanovac a two-day visit to their parent faculty. The visit of students of the Bujanovac department to Subotica is one more Coordination Body’s activity aimed at providing the necessary conditions to Bujanovac students for receiving quality education and exchanging experiences with their fellow students from Subotica and Novi Sad.
